  • Prunedale / North Salinas: Located just north of Salinas along Highway 101, Prunedale is a rural, community-oriented area known for its large lots, oak-dotted landscapes, and the kind of quiet, country feel that is increasingly hard to find on California's Central Coast. Residents enjoy easy highway access to Salinas, Monterey, and Santa Cruz, a coastal Mediterranean climate that keeps temperatures mild year-round, and the open space and agricultural character that defines life in North Monterey County.
  • Downtown Salinas / Oldtown: Just seven miles south of Prunedale, downtown Salinas is the cultural and agricultural capital of the Salinas Valley, home to the National Steinbeck Center, the Fox Theater, local dining and retail, and the headquarters of major agricultural companies that drive the region's economy. Residents appreciate the city's urban amenities, walkable Oldtown district, and proximity to Hartnell College and Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System.
  • Castroville / Elkhorn: Situated west of Prunedale near the Monterey Bay coastline, Castroville and the Elkhorn area offer a quieter, agricultural community character with easy access to Moss Landing State Beach, Elkhorn Slough Reserve, and the broader Monterey Peninsula via Highway 1.
